How to Use: Poke Me On
Poke Me On is your personal learning assistant designed to help you internalize new information through spaced repetition via Telegram. Simply add text, notes, vocabulary, or any learning material you want to remember. Then, configure how often and how much content you want to be 'poked' with. Poke Me On will send you chunks of your learning items as reminders directly to your Telegram, respecting your quiet hours. This tool requires authentication and Telegram linking through the main 'account.teacher-alex.com' hub. It’s perfect for busy learners who want to ensure they regularly review and retain new information without overwhelming themselves.
Instructions
- First, ensure you are logged into your account at 'account.teacher-alex.com'. If you don't have an account, please register there first.
- Crucially, you must link your Telegram account to your Teacher Alex account. This is done within the settings or profile section of 'account.teacher-alex.com'. Follow the instructions there to connect with the Teacher Alex Telegram bot.
- Once authenticated and your Telegram is linked, navigate to the Poke Me On tool from the main site menu or the 'How to Use' section.
- On the Poke Me On dashboard, you'll find a form to 'Add New Learning Item'. Paste or type the text, notes, or material you wish to learn into the text area.
- Click 'Add Item'. The item will be saved to your personal list.
- Navigate to the 'Settings' page within Poke Me On (usually a link in the header or sidebar).
- In Settings, you can configure: 'Word Count per Reminder' (how many words from your items to send at once), 'Reminder Frequency' (e.g., every few hours, daily), and 'Quiet Hours' (times when you do not want to receive reminders, like overnight).
- Save your settings. Poke Me On will now automatically start sending you reminders via the Teacher Alex Telegram bot according to your preferences.
- You can manage (view, edit, delete) your learning items from the Poke Me On dashboard.
